The horse drawn caravan

For five days on the way around lough derk.
The idea came by a joke  in Linz.To travel by horse was not that strange because parts of the trip through Mongolia two years ago were also by horse.
But this experience was completely different. It was ordinary touristic. It was naïve to think we would have the freedom to make our own way and stop where ever we want to. we had to make way, very slow 20 km a day. We had to sleep at farm houses asphalted backyards and had picknics beside the road. We were not allowed to left the planned route. Most of the way was mainroad, trucks passed not too slow. Further the break made troubles and so it was very stressful to drive, specially down the roads.
It was a feeling like you don’t have to think about the way, you simply have to make way.
